Lawrencetown Cup II!

The old 2018 is winding down and bidding us farewell.  To celebrate the new 2019, join us with the Lawrencetown Lions Club on January 1st to kick off the New Year, staying active and young at heart!

The Lions are hosting the annual New Year’s Day free skate from 1:00-3:00 and there is lots of hot chocolate to warm you up between skates!  Bring the whole family and be active together!

The ice season is well underway and in January, the Learn-to-Skate program kicks off on January 9th.  Visit their Facebook page at "Lawrencetown Figure Skating Club" for more information - to become a member, just request to join the Facebook group!

FREE Preschool and Guardians Skating happens every Monday morning, from 9:00 – 10:00 am, followed by Adult Skating from 10:00-11:00 am.

Junior level shinny hockey happens every Thursday, from 6:00-7:00 pm.  Teen level shinny hockey is every Monday, from 6:00-7:00 pm.  Intermediate level shinny hockey is every Monday and Thursday, from 7:15-8:15 pm.  Stop in during any of these sessions for more information on ages and gear.

All Shinny fees are $5.00 a session in December and January.  Follow our Facebook page at Lawrencetown Exhibition Youth Arena, for updates or cancellations.  If you’re a hockey player who is interested in giving back to the community, talk to us about helping out with the kids programming!

Co-ed hockey happens Wednesday and Friday evenings, and Women’s hockey is every Friday night. These are all drop-in sessions and open to all skill levels.

Join us most Sundays, from 4:00-5:30 pm for Public Skating.  We can help if you need to borrow helmets or skates, so just bring yourself and some warm clothes!

Check the Calendar link for a schedule of events, call the arena office directly at 902-584-3349 for bookings (leave a message if we’re not right there – we’ll return your call!), and commit to more active pursuits this winter – every Nova Scotian deserves to stay active and healthy their whole life!

Thrive! will return to the Arena again this year, thanks to NS Community. Culture and Heritage Active Living support!  They support the FREE Preschool and Guardians Skating program, Shinny Hockey in February and March, and the March Break program.  Keep an eye out for more information during the season.

The Arena is now registered as an HST collector, so prices have been adjusted to
incorporate the HST as part of the price.  We continue our commitment to keeping prices
as low as possible, with an emphasis on low cost opportunities for youth in the arena!
