The arena
opened for the 2020-21 season on November 27th. To
help everyone stay safe during this winter, we have basic
facility rules in place and will update as conditions change. Monday
mornings will see our Pre-School and Guardian Skate at 9:00am,
followed by our Adult Skate at 10:00am. Please bring your
mask and your helmet, and familiarize yourself with the
Covid-19 Protection Rules below. Guys and
Gals Hockey is back – Mondays at 7:15pm and Fridays at 6:30pm.
We kicked off this past Friday and it was great to see
everyone! Wednesday
evenings are now for Shinny Hockey – Juniors at 6:00pm and
Intermediates at 7:15pm. Please bring your mask and your
helmet, and familiarize yourself with the Covid-19 Protection
Rules below. Women’s
Hockey is on Friday evening at 7:45pm and we kicked off this
past Friday, as well. It was wonderful to be out together!! Sundays
from 4-5pm will host Public Skating. Helmets are now
mandatory in the Arena for all activities. This is big change
but this has been coming to all arenas in this province for
many years. Brain injuries are preventable with the use of a
good helmet and concussions can leave a lasting effect on
people, so helmets are the safe way to go. Below are
Public Health directives designed to limit your exposure and
our staff’s exposure to the coronavirus. These will help all
of us stay open safely this winter. A complete list of rules
is available at the Arena.
When you are inside the Arena, except for the time you are on
the ice, you must correctly wear a face mask to cover your
nose and mouth.
Sanitizer is available in the main lobby and at stations
inside the Arena. Please always sanitize your hands when
entering the Arena.
Unless you are participating as a member of a regular group
which maintains their own Contact Tracing Roster, you must
provide Contact Details and answer Covid Questions in the main
lobby upon your arrival.
Patrons are only permitted to arrive within 15 minutes of the
start of their ice time and must depart the Arena within 15
minutes of the end of their ice time.
Spectators are only permitted in the grandstands, and must
maintain 2 meter physical distancing. No standing in the
hallways is permitted.
IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING ANY COVID-19 SYMPTOMS, HAVE BEEN
EXPOSED TO SOMEONE WITH COVID-19 IN THE PAST 14 DAYS, OR HAVE
BEEN OUTSIDE THE ATLANTIC BUBBLE WITHIN THE LAST 14 DAYS, STAY
HOME.
Check the Calendar
link for a schedule of events or call the arena office
directly at 902-584-3349 for bookings (leave a message if
we’re not right there – we’ll return your call!).
Use the Schedule button to check
available ice times and program contact information. For more information
or to book ice time, call 584-3349. If we’re busy elsewhere at the time,
please leave a message and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
